Wageningen Seed Centre (WSC) acts as a collaborating partner or as a consultant in setting up and conducting scientific research programs. These programs may concern fundamental research or they may have an applied character. WSC assists in the development of machinery or devices that are required for specific research tasks. In project management, WSC covers all steps of the project cycle, including identification, formulation, execution and evaluation of project activities. 

Examples of such activities are the involvement of WSC in seed projects in Bangladesh, Bolivia, Brazil, China, Egypt, Indonesia, Nicaragua, Sri Lanka, Sudan and Yemen.
